Event Overview:

This event is designed to discuss the process involved and required in the preparation and submission of development applications from both pre-DA to Operational Works approval. There will be discussion by local and experienced professionals in both the town planning and engineering space, who will go through the general application process from start to finish.

What are the important elements of the Planning Act legislation 2016? What are the standard and legislated time frames throughout the submission process and who has responsibility of those times? What are some common tools that can be utilised between the initial application and the ultimate approval? These are examples of what questions you can expect to be answered over the course of this presentation. 

One of our speakers is Paul Kelly from Precinct Urban Planning who is speaking on behalf of industry. Paul is a qualified town planner and valuer who has over twenty-five (25) years’ experience in strategic and statutory planning, and property valuation consulting in Local and State Government as well as the private sector.

We also have Adam Gould speaking on behalf of local government. Adam is a Senior Engineer with over 10 years of experience in both surface water modelling and the assessment of development applications.
